 Summary of the Film:

"I am Kalam" the story of a child, his struggles to pursue his dreams and to surpass the boundaries of reality, is a celebration of the human spirit pitted against overwhelming odds. It's a story that might have belonged to any developing country. Focusing on child labour, its exploitative structure and thoughtless individuals who aim at profiting at cheap labour. The Indian system where love and oppression coexist, still continues today.

Some Fun Trivia:

1) The film was screened retrospectively on August 17, 2016 at the Independence Day Film Festival jointly presented by the Indian Directorate of Film Festivals and Ministry of Defense, commemorating the 70th Indian Independence Day. A special screening was held for Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam at his Delhi residence on 29 July.
2) The film was shot in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
